AHU Coach

Terms of Service

Effective date: 21 October 2026

In short: AHU is a self-guidance tool for people aged 18 and over. Your first Action Plan is free; a membership lets you keep up to three active plans. AHU isn't therapy, medical, legal or financial advice. If you need urgent support, contact the helplines in section 4.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the AHU app and website ("AHU"), provided by Te Ahu Solutions Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in New Zealand. By creating an account or using AHU, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use AHU.

2. What AHU is, and isn't

AHU is a self-reflection tool to help you organise your thoughts during life transitions. It asks a set of guided questions and shapes your answers into a personalised Action Plan.

AHU does not provide medical, clinical, legal or financial advice. It doesn't diagnose or treat any condition, and it isn't a substitute for therapy, counselling or professional care. Accessing professional care when you need it is your responsibility.

3. Who can use AHU

You must be 18 or older to create an account. One account per person.

4. Your safety

Before each assessment you'll see a safety message. If anything you write suggests you may be at risk of harm, AHU will show you support options, and an administrator at Te Ahu Solutions Ltd will be alerted so we can meet our duty of care. AHU is not equipped to respond to a crisis. If you need support:

  • 1737, Need to Talk? Free call or text 1737, any time, to talk with a trained counsellor.
  • Lifeline Aotearoa: call 0800 543 354 or text 4357 (HELP).
  • Suicide Crisis Helpline: call 0508 828 865 (0508 TAUTOKO).
  • In an emergency, call 111.
  • Outside New Zealand: find a free helpline in your country at findahelpline.com, or contact your local emergency services.

5. The AHU service

  • Assessment: ten guided questions, most with set answer options and two optional free-text questions.
  • Action Plan: a seven-part plan (Opening, The Mirror, Priority, Behavioural Shift, Three Actions, Accountability and Closing). You approve each part.
  • Active plans: you can have up to three active plans at a time.
  • Check-in: a reminder to come back and reflect on your plan.
  • Export: you can download your plan as a PDF or email it to yourself.

Action Plans are generated using artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) from your answers. We design AHU's approach carefully, but we can't promise any plan will be accurate, complete or right for your circumstances. You remain responsible for your own decisions.

6. Membership and payment

  • Free: your first Action Plan is free, with no time limit.
  • Membership: a monthly or annual membership lets you keep a second and third active plan. Prices are shown in Google Play before you subscribe.
  • Renewal: memberships renew automatically until you cancel. We'll give you notice before any price change applies to your renewal.
  • Cancelling: cancel any time in your Google Play subscription settings. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and your plans aren't deleted.
  • Refunds: we don't refund part-used periods, except where the law or Google Play's refund policy requires it.
  • Payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card details.

7. Your account

Keep your login details safe. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@teahusolutions.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

8. Your information

How we collect, use, keep and delete your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, including the safety exception in section 4 above. You can delete your account at any time: see Delete your account.

9. Intellectual property

AHU's approach, branding, design and technology belong to Te Ahu Solutions Ltd. You may use AHU and keep and use your own Action Plans for personal purposes. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or extract AHU's methodology, or use AHU to build a competing product.

10. Using AHU respectfully

Don't use AHU for anything unlawful, impersonate anyone, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to its systems. Please don't enter confidential business information or another person's private information. AHU is for reflecting on your own life.

11. Ending your use

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where the law requires it.

12. Our responsibility

AHU is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude warranties other than those that can't be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies. We're not liable for decisions you make or actions you take based on AHU. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use AHU after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
